Fine Cell Work – Pink & Orange Pineapple on Cream

Originating in the Americas, the pineapple arrived in Europe with Christopher Columbus in 1493 and Sir Walter Raleigh refers to it as the ‘Princess of Fruits’.  The Pineapple featured on the dining tables of wealthy hostesses to indicate the respect and consideration they had for their guest whilst the decorative motif appears on furniture, bedposts and headboards, linen and furnishings as a sign of luxury and welcome.
